How to hold an online or catalogue ‘party’

Ok so the word ‘party’ could be considered a bit of a misnomer here but what I mean when I say ‘party’, is a collection of orders from your friends and family, with the goal of achieving valuable host gifts for yourself.  This is, of course, in addition to having the opportunity to shop from home.

What’s the difference between an online party and a catalogue party?

An online party is held, literally, online, but not at any given time.  I will send you an email invitation that you can forward to whomever you like, and in the email is a link which, when clicked on, takes the invitee to a special page on the Chef’s Toolbox website.  Any orders placed via that link will go towards your sales and will help you to achieve higher value host gifts.

A catalogue party is where you hand Chef’s Toolbox catalogues around to friends, family, work associates and anyone else you choose, and ask them to hand their orders and payments in to you by a certain date.  You then pass those on to me and I will compile it all into a ‘party’ order for you.  You still get to choose from all the regular host gifts as if you’d held a cooking party at home.

Why hold online or catalogue parties instead of a cooking party at home?

There are many reasons why a host would choose a catalogue, online or home cooking party.  People are busy and often frazzled.  They like to be given a choice.  And sometimes, an in-home cooking party is not possible or may not be practical.

Online parties – Best for people who have just moved to a new area and don’t know anyone but still want to receive lovely host gifts for collecting a number of orders.  Also great if you have friends and family who live interstate, or even too far away to consider driving over for a cooking demo.  With an online party, it’s SO simple because each person pays for their own order via credit card on the Chef’s Toolbox site, and their individual order is posted to their address.  It doesn’t get any easier than that!

Catalogue parties – Some people don’t like to feel as though they are imposing on their friends and family by inviting them to an in-home cooking demo.  I’m not here to convince anyone to leap out of their comfort zone!  By simply showing the catalogue around at work, school, kindy, the gym, the hairdressing salon and the neighbourhood, it’s easy to gather some orders and achieve some great gifts.  Hosts have chosen to hold catalogue parties because their kitchen is being renovated and they want to buy new cookware.  Believe me, we can always set up a makeshift kitchen if you’d like, but a catalogue party is the next best thing.

Because I live in Brisbane and have a travelling radius of about 50kms, I welcome online parties from all over Australia.  Simply contact me and I’ll help you make it happen!
